Louisville basketball’s offseason isn’t done yet, as Pat Kelsey and the Cardinals will now look to add depth to their roster and try to replace their key bench pieces from this past season. The Cardinals lost their top nine of ten players from the 2025-26 season, and the only valuable player who logged minutes last season has announced he is returning is former 5-star transfer, Adrian Wooley.

So, with Louisville’s starting lineup looking set and ready to compete for an ACC Title, Kelsey is now trying to add valuable and reliable bench pieces. The Cardinals are in contact with multiple transfers at the moment, but one power forward the Cards recently went out to see is Eastern Michigan transfer Mo Habhab.
Louisville basketball visits under-the-radar power forward
Louisville’s frontcourt was its glaring weakness this past season, as the Cardinals often were outmatched in the paint. The Cardinals already landed three big-time transfers for its frontcourt in Karter Knox, Alvaro Folgueiras, and Flory Bidunga, and now Kelsey appears to be trending with the under-the-radar Eastern Michigan transfer.

Habhab is coming off an eye-popping redshirt freshman season, as he made an immediate impact with the Eagles. He transferred to Eastern Michigan after being redshirted his true freshman season at Central Michigan, playing just 2 minutes in one game against South Alabama.
The 6-foot-9, 205-pound forward started in all 30 games he played in with Eastern Michigan, and went on to make the MAC All-Freshman Team after averaging an impressive 14.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 0.9 steals per game. He got off to a dominant start with the Eagles, securing five double-doubles in his first six games, and went on to finish the season with 10 double-doubles on the year.
He scored 20 points or more in seven games and posted two blocks or more in 15 games. He had a dominant game against Oakland, securing an impressive triple-double with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, while adding 1 block and 1 steal.
Louisville did see the power forward this past season, as the Cardinals hosted the Eagles and won 87-46. Not much went well for Eastern Michigan, but if they wanted to shine a light on someone, it was Habhab, who secured a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, adding four assists.
Louisville’s offseason isn’t slowing down anytime soon, and it appears Kelsey is potentially trying to add a hidden gem he saw this past season.
