Joe Tipton, of On3, reported in a post on X that the 6-foot-8, 220-pound, Nana Owusu-Anane, has cut his list of school to eight, and Louisville is one of them.

The eight finalist for Owusu-Anane are Louisville, Kansas, Kansas State, Arizona State, Baylor, SMU, San Diego State, and Grand Canyon University.

Owusu-Anane averaged 14.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.3 steals a game as a junior at Brown in 2023-24. He finished shooting 46.8% from the field and 31% from deep, but his main weakness was the charity stripe as he shot 68.5%. He made the All-Ivy League Second Team.

Owusu-Anane missed this 2024-2025 season with a "partially torn labrum", and will be ready to enroll into the program he chooses this summer. Owusu-Anane was a three-star prospect out of High School, and his size and length gives him tremendous potential.

One off Owusu-Anane standout games came against ACC powerhouse, North Carolina, back in 2021. Owusu-Anane had 20 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal, and shot 8-15 from the field and 2-2 from beyond the arc.

Brown has a recruiting score of 98.78, and is ranked eight overall in the class of 2025 according to On3 Sports. Brown is a 5-star across all recruiting platforms as he is the nation's No. 7 player in the Class of 2025 and the No. 2 point guard, according to 247Sports, and No. 11 in ESPN's 100. Cardinals are also one of the front runners for the 2025 No.4 recruit, Nate Ament.
