Louisville basketball is making a strong push in recruiting, as the Cardinals are up for multiple five-star recruits.
Ever since Pat Kelsey arrived, Louisville basketball continues to find themselves involved with many superstar recruits. Cardinals recently found out they are on the verge of landing five-star 2025 McDonald's All-American, Nate Ament.
UofL already landed their first 5-star of 2025 in Mikel Brown Jr., as the point guard is as high as the No. 7 player in the Class of 2025 and the No. 2 point guard, according to 247Sports. Brown and Ament, aren't even the end of the list, Cardinals are clear frontrunners for No. 1 overall prospect in 2026, Tyran Stokes.
Louisville also seems to be in major contention for a five-star prospect in the class of 2027, Tyrone Jamison.
Louisville basketball up for contention for 2027 five-star
Tyrone Jamison is a five-star prospect according to ESPN, and 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 1 player in both rankings out of the state of Louisiana, and is the top prospect in the point guard position.
The 6-foot-2, 170 pound point guard currently attends Calvary Baptist High School, and is ranked as high as the no. 7 overall prospect in class of 2027, according to Rivals. The unanimous top 15 prospect has 11 offers so far, and Louisville basketball was able to offer him early, as they sent him an official offer back on July 20, 2024.
Jamison took an official visit to Louisville back in December, 2024. The highly-recruited guard averages a team high 15.3 points per game and 6.7 assists, 3.9 rebounds rebounds, and 1.7 steals a game, according to MaxPreps.

Jamison has led his Cavaliers to an impressive 25-3 record and are ranked No. 1 in the state or Louisiana according to GeauxPreps power rankings. In his freshman season, Jamison averaged 13.3 points, 5.4 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game at Calvary Baptist Academy, according to MaxPreps.
