The Louisville basketball roster is not quite 100 percent complete, as the Cardinals still have one scholarship spot available. It was just reported that head coach Pat Kelsey is eyeing one last player for his National Championship quest, and he is the perfect player they need.

The Cardinals have had a massive offseason so far, as Louisville has added three elite guards from the Transfer Portal and three hidden gems from overseas, with two of them now being viewed as 4-star recruits.

Kelsey now looks back at the international stage one last time, as Arman Jovic reported that Louisville is in contact with the Croatian forward, Ivan Bogdanovic.

The Cardinals' roster is loaded, and they have one of the best top-to-bottom rosters in the nation. However, they are eyeing the perfect player to fit their rotation and someone who can make an immediate impact.

Bogdanovic is 6-foot-8 and a small forward who can knock down deep 3-pointers, but post up smaller defenders and either spin and drive to the basket or fade away and nail the jumper. The soon-to-be 21-year-old averaged 18.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists while shooting 45.9 percent from the field for Croatia’s U20 team last summer.

He went on to score 20 points or more in three of the seven games last summer, including a spectacular 29-point performance against Finland. When watching his film, fans will see him being able to finish through contact and play with physicality.

Bogdanovic would fit perfectly next to the Cardinals' backcourt, as he can guard multiple positions while also keeping the court spaced. Louisville is reported to be one of four teams to reach out, as Gonzaga, Texas A&M, and Michigan State have also reached out to the Croatian.

Louisville currently has the tenth-best odds to win the 2026 National Championship, and if they want to make history and earn their first title since 2013, Bogdanovic would be a great addition. He provides height and physicality, and is a true small forward who can guard up and make tough baskets.
