Louisville basketball’s ACC Tournament seed isn’t set yet, as the Cardinals' last game still will have implications on where the Cards will land in the conference tourney. Louisville currently sits at 21-9 on the season, with an ACC record of 10-7, with just one game left.

The Cards will take on the Miami Hurricanes tomorrow afternoon, giving them the opportunity to clinch the No. 6 seed in the ACC Tournament with a win, but if they lose, they could fall all the way to the 8-seed. However, according to Team Rankings, Pat Kelsey and Louisville are projected to land the No. 6 seed in this year’s ACC Conference Tournament.

2025 ACC Tournament bracket: What Louisville basketball fans need to know right now

Louisville has a chance to enter the postseason with a lot of momentum. If the Cardinals do get the 6-seed, as Team Rankings projects, it either means they beat Miami or North Carolina State loses. So, if the Cards beat Miami, it would be their first road win against a ranked team this season, and they would head into the ACC Tournament, which starts on March 10, with a game on March 11.

However, if Louisville loses, North Carolina State wins, and Florida State loses, then the Cardinals fall to the 7-seed, and if Louisville loses, North Carolina State wins, and Florida State wins, then the Cardinals drop all the way to the 8-seed.

The importance of seeding is that if the Cardinals are the 6-seed, they would play Miami in the quarterfinals; if the Cardinals are the 7-seed, they would play Virginia in the quarterfinals; and if the Cardinals are the 8-seed, they would play Duke in the quarterfinals.

So, there is still seedings to play for in this final game, but Team Rankings gives Louisville fans some good news as they predict the Cards to be the No. 6 seed and to get Miami in the quarterfinals and to avoid Duke until the finals.
