Pat Kelsey and the Louisville Cardinals are hosting one of the best players in the 2025 transfer portal today, Friday, March 28. Travis Branham of 247Sports and Joe Tipton of On3 reported this breaking news.
Kennesaw State's transfer guard, Adrian Wooley, is a consensus top ten player in this year's transfer portal and is ranked as high as the No. 3 overall player in the transfer portal via 247Sports, while On3 has him ranked No. 8.
Louisville basketball will look to land this elite shooting guard this weekend after this crucial visit.
Louisville basketball receives massive update from 5-star transfer portal guard
The 6-foot-5, 180-pound guard is highly recruited due to his ability to score at will and dominate the offensive side of the ball. Last season he averaged 18.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 51.2 percent from the floor and 42.2 percent from downtown.
The true freshman guard's ceiling is extremely high. Last year, he earned the Conference-USA Freshman of the Year award and First-Team All-CUSA honors. This elite shooting guard is exactly what Kelsey and his squad need, as he splashed 73 threes in his freshman season, including 13 games with three shots or more made from beyond the arc.
His best game last season came against Brewton-Parker. He connected on six threes at 60 percent from downtown and finished the game with a career-high 32 points. Last season, Wooley finished with 20 points or more in 15 games.
This elite shooting guard is expected to be recruited by SEC giants and will be hard to land. However, it was reported that Kelsey and his team are expected to spend up to $10 million on this year's transfer portal.
This is a massive visit for Pat Kelsey, as Wooley is a unanimous 5-star player in this year's transfer portal and would be a perfect fit next to Mikel Brown Jr.
