7. Can Louisville basketball win the 2026 National Championship?

Louisville appears to have its eyes set on history this upcoming season, as after their three additions from the portal and four additions from the 2025 class, the Cards' got a clear path to history. The question arises as to how realistic it is for Louisville to win the National Championship.

Louisville basketball enters the summer with the fourth-best odds of winning the 2026 National Championship and the second-best odds of winning the ACC Title. The Cardinals have never earned the ACC regular season crown or the ACC Tournament crown and have gone without a National Championship since 2013.

Kelsey and his Cardinals must keep their eyes on the prize and remember the mission. It was clear that these players signed with the Cardinals because they wanted to win. J'Vonne Hadley and Kasean Pryor decided to return for their final year, and Adrian Wooley, Ryan Conwell, and Isaac McKneely all signed, knowing their roles might be smaller than if they committed to a different team.

Louisville has a legitimate shot at glory this upcoming season, and with Kelsey leading the ship, the Cardinals have a prime opportunity to etch their names in the history books.
