One of Louisville basketball's top dream targets, Anthony Thompson, cut his list in half, but this time the Cardinals found themselves on the outside looking in. Louisville made the 5-star's top 15 list after receiving over 32 offers, but it was reported that Thompson will now move on without considering Pat Kelsey and the Cardinals.
Thompson comes in ranked as high as No. 8 in the nation and the No. 2 small forward in the 2026 recruiting class. Louisville learning this news is devastating, but it is essential to remember that if Kelsey is all-in on the No. 1 recruit in the nation and 6-foot-8 small forward, Tyran Stokes.

Reyne Smith signs two-year deal with Cairns Taipan
One of Louisville basketball's fans' favorite players last year was the Australian sharpshooter, Reyne Smith. After splashing 107 3-pointers for Kelsey's Cardinals and etching his name in the program record books, he moved back home as he signed a two-year deal with the Cairns Taipans in the National Basketball League.
Smith competed in the NBA Summer League earlier this month, and despite playing only 26 minutes across one game, he proved he is an elite 3-point specialist. He splashed five 3-pointers in the only game he played and ended the game with 17 points. Now he will return home and compete in the well-respected Australian professional basketball league, the NBL.

Miller Moss reveals one key adjustment he has to make
Louisville football's biggest addition this offseason was USC transfer Miller Moss. The 4-star commit comes to Louisville with high expectations despite having a letdown year last season, and now the Cardinals will look to make a run towards their first ACC Title.
If Louisville wants to make the run to the ACC Championship game, it will have to survive its gauntlet of a schedule, and Moss must be able to throw consistently and limit his turnovers. For that to happen, he revealed the biggest adjustment he must make from USC to Louisville is the style of offense Jeff Brohm runs and how much he "carries within the offense."
If Moss can trust Brohm and lean on his running backs and do just enough to win football games, then Louisville has a legit shot to contend for an ACC Title.
