There is no question that the Louisville Cardinals are quietly emerging as one of the nation's top dark horses to make the 2025 College Football Playoffs. Louisville football is returning many key players, such as star running back Isaac Brown, and leading tacklers T.J. Quinn and Stanquan Clark, but the player whose season will rely heavily on is USC transfer quarterback Miller Moss.

The 4-star emerges as Louisville's glaring X-factor as he comes over to Jeff Brohm's offense after having a massive letdown of a season with the Trojans. Brohm is going to have to work his magic and hit another home run with Moss, as he is the third straight transfer quarterback who will start for Brohm.

While Moss has some concerns with throwing interceptions and being inconsistent, he also has plenty of upside. Louisville is expecting Moss to lead the Cardinals back to Charlotte for the ACC Championship game and be someone who can go and win games for them in the final minutes. Moss broke down some key points at ACC Media Days, and one of the biggest things he broke down is what his biggest adjustment will be entering the 20225-26 season.

Miller Moss reveals one key adjustment he must make

Louisville fans know all about Moss's potential, as his first career start was a historic one that went down in the history books. Moss threw a Holiday Bowl-record six touchdowns while completing over 75 percent of his passes for 372 yards.

The 6-foot-2 quarterback has shown flashes of pure excellence in his college career; however, he also has shown some areas of concern. It will be crucial for Moss not to force throws and to lean on his running backs. Moss was benched by Lincoln Riley last season after he threw seven interceptions in his final five games, and with preseason All-American Isaac Brown behind him, there is no reason for him to force throws.

When Moss was asked about the biggest adjustment he has to make, he made it clear that the style of play and the 'volume' coach Brohm holds on the offense should help him out significantly.

"I think the biggest adjustment for me is just the pure volume that coach Brohm carries within the offense," Moss stated during his media availability at ACC Media Days on Wednesday. "I think it speaks to his depth as a coordinator and his ability to tailor the offense around a bunch of different skillsets."

Coach Brohm has saved two quarterbacks' careers in two consecutive years, as Louisville has relied on the Transfer Portal for its starting quarterback in both of Brohm's years at Louisville. Moss will now be Brohm's third transfer quarterback, and the fans have high expectations that Brohm can save Moss's career, just as he did with Tyler Shough and Jack Plummer.

Brohm is one of the smartest coaches in college football, and with him being known as the quarterback whisperer, it is no secret that the nation expects Moss to have a massive comeback season in 2025. David Pollack went on his show to even state that Moss will have a better season than Carson Beck at Miami and will lead Louisville to the ACC Championship game to face Clemson.

The Cardinals have a gauntlet of a schedule as they will face Clemson, SMU, and Miami this year, and also have Virginia Tech and Boston College. If Louisville wants to make the ACC Title game for the second year in three seasons and the second time in program history, then Moss must improve from last year, adjust to the system, and lean on Brohm and his running backs. If he does that and trusts the coaching staff, then he should become Brohm's biggest quarterback revival yet.
