Louisville Men's basketball update
Pat Kelsey and the Louisville Cardinals got a tricky draw in the NCAA Tournament. The Cardinals were quickly bounced in the March Madness bracket, as Louisville lost 89-75 to the Creighton Bluejays. Louisville started the game out hot on the offensive side, but the Cardinals' perimeter defense was poor, leading to a Bluejays 19-2 run in the first half.
Creighton would go up as much as 20 points, and the Cardinals could never get the game back in single digits. The Cardinals senior guard Chucky Hepburn after the game was emotional, and game fans a quote that made their eyes water.
"This city, this program, they revived me," Hepburn stated. "Just forever grateful to wear this Louisville jersey.”
The Cardinals will shift its focus to next season as the spring transfer portal opens on Monday, March 24. On3 reported that Pat Kelsey plans to spend $8 to $10 million this offseason in the portal.
