Louisville basketball has announced that it has received a commitment from another international star, Evangelos Zougris, making it the first program to secure commitments from three international players from the 2025 class. The Cardinals are still looking for a couple of roster spots, but they will have to look some more as Cardinal's No. 1 dream target and 5-star transfer Jamir Watkins will stay in the NBA Draft.

Watkins was a consensus top 7 player in the transfer portal and was ranked as high as the best small forward in the portal. The 6-foot-7 forward was linked with the Cardinals early in the offseason, but after his impressive NBA Draft Combine performance, Watkins decided the NBA was best for his career.

Pat Kelsey and Cardinals trend towards trio of 5-stars

Louisville basketball's top prospects in the class of 2026 took a massive step in the right direction last week, as the three 5-stars signed a contract with the Cardinals' sponsor, Adidas. Now, just because these prospects signed with Adidas doesn't mean they have to sign with a school that has an Adidas affiliation, but it is a step in the right direction.

These three 5-star recruits include those from Taylen Kinney, Anthony Thompson, and Caleb Holt. All three 5-star recruits have received an offer from Louisville and have been in contact with Pat Kelsey and the staff on multiple occasions.

Louisville football lands in 4-star recruit final 4

Louisville football is in a heated battle for multiple recruits, as the Cardinals learned they are among the final four schools for 4-star Jayden McGregory. The 4-star recruit is ranked as high as the No. 396 prospect and the second-best player out of Iowa in the 2026 class.

The Cardinals' 2026 class is ranked as high as the 17th-best class in the nation, and the addition of McGregory would make this class that much better. The Cardinals have earned 17 commitments so far, and McGregory would be the fifth 4-star commitment in the 2026 cycle. The Cardinals are set to battle for McGregory's commitment against Kansas, Minnesota, and Missouri, and will announce his commitment on July 7.
