The Cardinals continue to receive tremendous news for the 2026 class, as Jeff Brohm is working miracles at the moment. Louisville football is expected to have a massive weekend, as many recruits plan to visit the university over the weekend.
The Cardinals hope to earn multiple commitments after the weekend and continue to improve the program's recruiting class. The Cardinals learned that they are one step closer to achieving their fifth 4-star commitment as Iowa native Jayden McGregory updated his recruitment and included the Louisville Cardinals in his top four schools.

McGregory is ranked as high as the No. 396 recruit in the 2026 cycle and the 26th-best prospect in the ATH skilled position. Rivals has him ranked as the second-best player out of Iowa, making him one of the top targets for the Cardinals at the moment.
The 4-star safety has earned over 18 offers and has now narrowed his list to just four schools. The Cardinals will face off against Kansas, Minnesota, and Missouri and will learn where he commits on July 7.
These four programs were cut after McGregory cut his list in half, as the Cardinals were able to beat out elite and historic programs, including Michigan State, Michigan, Georgia, and Kansas State.
The 6-foot-2 185-pound safety attends Valley High School and logged 20 tackles, including one for a loss, 13 pass breakups, and three interceptions, including a pick-six. Brohm and the Louisville Cardinals hope to log their 15th commitment in the 2026 cycle. Louisville's 14 commitments is highlighted by four 4-stars, and is ranked as high as the 16th best class in the nation.
