Isaac Brown is expected to be one of the top running backs in the nation next season, and that is why he is earning high praise all offseason. Louisville football's star running back recently earned a spot on Phil Steele's 2025 Preseason All-American Team.

Brown is coming off one of the best rushing seasons in program history after he had 65 carries for 1,173 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. He expected to be a top-five running back next season, which is why he also secured a spot on Phil Steel's Preseason All-ACC First Team.

Louisville basketball projected to land 5-star PG-but there's a twist

Louisville basketball recently found out they are the frontrunners for the 5-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr. The Cardinals are given the best chances to land his commitment, according to On3 Sports, but in a recent interview with 247Sports' Jody Demling, Rippey stated that Mikel Brown's future would impact his decision.

"The visit was fun, and they told me that I can come in and be the next point guard," Rippey stated, according to Demling. "It will be interesting to see what Mikel Brown does for his freshman year, and that will definitely give me some leeway in considering Louisville."

Louisville was given a bit of a twist here, as the Cardinals, of course, want Brown to stay as long as possible. However, if he does go one-and-done, then Louisville could continue to build its reputation and earn more 5-star commitments, becoming an elite recruiting spot for superstars

Louisville basketball reportedly added two more games to their 2025-26 schedule, and it was exactly what they needed. While fans want thrilling matchups with these elite programs, it's also nice to add some cupcake games, and that's exactly what Louisville did.

The Cardinals will play Eastern Michigan and NJIT, according to The Field of 68's Jeff Goodman. The dates are still to be determined, but it will be part of an MTE with their game against the Cincinnati Bearcats.
