Louisville basketball continues to trend in the right direction as the Cardinals secured a massive recruiting visit from 5-star point guard Tay Kinney. The Kentucky native was born in Newport before he moved to Georgia to play for Overtime Elite.
Kinney has been linked to the Cardinals on multiple occasions, as he received an offer from Louisville over two years ago and has now made his first official visit to Pat Kelsey and the Louisville Cardinals campus. Louisville has the second-best chance of landing Kinney, according to On3 Sports. However, Louisville was the first program to receive an official visit, which occurred in the same week after Kinney signed with Louisville's sponsor, Adidas.

Louisville football disrespected in ESPN FPI rankings
Louisville football has cracked many way-too-early top 25 rankings, as the Cardinals have one of the best offenses in the ACC. Louisville's star Isaac Brown and USC transfer Miller Moss have what it takes to lead this team to an ACC Title, but the first ESPN FPI rankings say completely otherwise.
Jeff Brohm and the Cardinals come in ranked No. 41 in the nation in the FPI rankings, and the Cards' are the sixth-best team in the ACC. Louisville has a 1.7 percent chance of winning the ACC, according to this system, and is ranked behind Clemson, Miami, SMU, Virginia Tech, and Georgia Tech. This system has had flaws in the past, and last year, 48 percent of the teams ranked in the first rankings were unranked in the last. Four unranked teams went on to make the College Football Playoffs. So, these are rankings that Louisville fans can laugh at without overthinking.

Louisville receives a massive slap to the face by experts hot take
Kelsey and the Cardinals' offseason has been highly praised by every analyst out there. However, Field of 68 hosts Rob Dauster recently released his biggest off-season winners and somehow overlooked Louisville. The college basketball analyst attempted to cheat the system, he claims and ranked the ACC No. 9, but in reality, Louisville deserves to be ranked on its own.
His partner, Jeff Goodman, ranked the Cardinals No. 6, behind Iowa, Michigan, Kentucky, St. John's, and Florida. Louisville added a 5-star recruit and two 4-star recruits, addressing their biggest concerns entering the 2025-26 season. Dauster's exclusion of Louisville is a massive oversight, one that immediately drew criticism in the video's comments and on social media.
