Recently, On3 Sports reported that the Louisville football team is working with its head coach, Jeff Brohm, to secure a much-needed extension for the head coach. Brohm is a Louisville native and has made it clear he wants to stay loyal to the Cardinals, but he also knows he deserves a raise and an extension after his first two and a half seasons.
The coaching carousel took the nation by storm this season, and after Louisville pulled off the upset of Miami on the road, many programs tried to claim Brohm as a top target. Louisville fans immediately shot down any rumor of Brohm leaving Louisville for another program, but knew he deserved a raise and an extension.
Now that this report is out, Louisville fans can rejoice and celebrate that Josh Heird is giving his coach the respect he deserves. As a result, they can all relax and stop listening to any conversation with Brohm's name in it.

Louisville football fans get Jeff Brohm news they have been waiting for
Since Penn State fired James Franklin, Louisville fans have seen their head coach linked to the Penn State job opening all season long. The Cards were coming off a massive win over Miami, and all of a sudden, Brohm got the respect he deserved, as many were now including him among the top coaches in college football. His resume went viral due to his 4-2 record against top-five teams, and he has won the most ACC games since taking over for Louisville in 2023.
The fans now make it clear they are thrilled he is going to stay and happy they don't have to listen to any rumors. ESPN released its top targets, and Louisville fans saw Brohm's name on the list. Recently, Brohm has been in the conversation for Florida after the Gators fired Billy Napier.
Should've been done sooner

The Cardinals fans have been all in on Brohm, and his resume backs it up. He has won the most ACC games in the conference since joining in 2023, brought the Cardinals to their first ACC Championship game, and won the most games in his first two seasons combined since 2013 and 2014.
The feeling from the fans is that it is about time. They have wanted this for a long time and know he deserves to be paid more than the 43rd-highest-paid coach in the league. Now that he has gotten his extension and raise, though, they expect Louisville to return to Charlotte sooner rather than later and to earn that first ACC Title.
