Louisville football recently learned they are ranked No. 15 in the College Football Playoffs. The Cardinals and the entire ACC learned from the CFP rankings that the committee doesn't respect the ACC, and they will only give the ACC one bid. The ACC was incredibly disrespected by the first CFP rankings, and while many fans were outraged, they had to accept that Louisville had to win the ACC to make it to the College Football Playoffs.
Well, after Miami and Georgia Tech were both upset in Week 10, Louisville quickly became the favorite to represent the ACC, according to FanDuel. The Cards have +168 odds to make the playoffs as of right now, and the national media is beginning to shine a light on Louisville because of it. On3 Sports' Brett McMurphy recently updated his College Football Playoff projection, and not only is Louisville in the playoffs, but they are hosting a game and would be a favorable matchup for Jeff Brohm.

Louisville fans will love On3 Sports analyst CFP projection
The Cardinals are ranked No. 7 and will host No. 10 BYU in McMurphy's prediction. Louisville fans absolutely love this as they would not only get to host a game for the playoffs and pack L&N Stadium for a College Football Playoff game, but they would also get a matchup they would feel much more confident about.
Avoiding a SEC, Big 10, or Notre Dame in the first round would be massive for the Cardinals. The Cards have shown this season that they can win the big-time games and have proven in the past that they can beat Notre Dame. However, playing BYU in the first round sounds a whole lot better than playing Oregon, Notre Dame, Texas, or Georgia.

The Cards have to keep going one game at a time and finish 12-1 to achieve this projection. The stakes are only going to get higher every week and with every win. Cal, Clemson, SMU, and Kentucky are going to try and spoil Louisville's season and the pressure will get higher and higher, but Brohm is one of the best coaches in the league, and the fans truly believe this could be the year they get over the hump and not only win the ACC, but make it to their first College Football Playoffs.
Louisville will look to go 8-1 this weekend as they face Cal on Saturday, and then will have a short week with Clemson coming into town on Friday, November. 14.
