Louisville football recently released its depth chart for the Cardinals' showdown with James Madison, and a few things jumped out at the fans. However, the biggest thing that jumped out was in the wide receiver position.

The Cardinals' secret weapon from the Transfer Portal and elite playmaker, TreyShun Hurry, will get the start in Week 2 against James Madison, and Dacari Collins will now be Chris Bell's backup. While this might come as a surprise after the Week 1 performance, Louisville fans should be thrilled as Hurry has tremendous potential to not only elevate this Cardinals' passing game, but to become a legitimate star in the ACC.

Louisville's x-factor poised for breakout game Week 2

Hurry transferred over to Louisville with high expectations after being a WR3 for San Jose State. The Cardinals' new starting wide receiver had an excellent fall camp and developed a quick chemistry with Miller Moss. Hurry logged 28 catches for 482 receiving yards and two touchdowns last season, but Brohm and Deion Branch believe he is destined for more with Louisville's offense.

The 6-foot-2, 194-pound receiver has elite speed and can not only burn defensive backs and be an elite threat down the field, but can also be an elite threat for wide receiver screens. The Cardinals' short game could become a crucial factor this Friday, and using Hurry in wide receiver screens would be a match made in heaven for this offense.

Hurry was a late bloomer that Brohm and Branch really began to shine a spotlight on in fall camp. The redshirt junior has never been given a true spotlight as he played under an All-American last year, and now with two years left, Louisville is clearly high on him.

"TreyShun Hurry is a newcomer who has really stood out and has done a really good job," Brohm stated entering Week 1. Now he appears to continue that momentum into Week 2 after earning just one catch for nine yards in Week 1.

Collins is a solid backup for Bell, as he provides height that Brohm likes, and should fit that skill position better. The Cardinals' wide receiver room has quickly become one of their strengths, and now, entering Week 2, don't be surprised if Hurry emerges as a glaring X-factor and Brohm's ultimate secret weapon.
