Last night, one of the greatest coaches of all time made his debut at North Carolina and got completely embarrassed by TCU. Bill Belichick was expected to completely flip the Tar Heels program around in just one offseason, but their whole plan got completely exposed last night when the Horn Frogs thumped the Tar Heels 48-14.
The Hall of Famer has a lot of work to do with his new program, but after just Week 1, it appears Louisville football doesn't have to worry about the Tar Heels. Some media and experts were extremely high on UNC all because of the Belichick hire, but Louisville fans have been preaching all offseason that when the season comes to an end, the Cardinals will be much higher than the Tar Heels.

Bill Belichick season opener was a disaster and Louisville fans loved it
The Cardinals have the third-best odds to win the ACC as of now, but for some odd reason, just because the Tar Heels got Belichick, many experts thought he would return to his prime Patriots form and bring this team to ACC glory.
That isn't really how college football works, and they all got exposed last night. UNC giving up 48 points to TCU and losing by 34 points isn't just embarrassing; it gets worse, actually. The Tar Heels giving up 48 points last night was the most points a Belichick team has ever given up in his entire coaching career.

When fans think about that, it is wild. He has been coaching since 1991, and in just his first game with North Carolina, the Tar Heels gave him one of the worst performances he has ever seen. Louisville getting projected to finish behind North Carolina was a complete and utter joke, and last night proved that some of these "experts" were falling into the trap of the Belichick hype.
The Tar Heels now have the third-worst odds to win the ACC after their season opener with +10000 odds. The Cardinals and the Tar Heels don't play each other this season, but after Louisville fans are now laughing hysterically after being disrespected by being picked behind North Carolina in the ACC rankings.
