Louisville football suffered their first loss of the 2025 season yesterday as the Cardinals were heartbroken in an overtime loss to the Virginia Cavaliers. Louisville once again trailed by double digits in the second half, but this time, Louisville's luck ran out, and they fell 30-27.
Miller Moss once again had a rollercoaster performance, where he showed a lot of good, but also a lot of bad, including his interception that Virginia returned for six points. This Cardinals loss has pinched a nerve for Cardinals fans, as many are calling out Jeff Brohm.
Entering the season, Brohm was ranked as the No. 2 head coach in the ACC in many experts' eyes, but Louisville fans voiced their strong opinions after Louisville's loss.

Louisville fans outraged with Jeff Brohm after the Cardinals loss
The fans responded to the post with a great deal of passion and anger. Many fans were calling Brohm mediocre, and some even went so far as to call for Brohm's job and claim he should be on the hot seat.
"If his name wasn't Brohm, he would be in the hot seat, and that’s the problem with UofL media, if we didn’t have an ounce of defense, we would be 1-4," one Cardinals fan went as far as to say.
Now, many didn't go that far, but this loss clearly upset the fans, and they are letting the head coach know they should not have lost this game.
If brohm is here, mediocrity is the expectation.

Brohm consistently not having this team ready to play is frustrating. Not going out and taking this game at home, falling behind Pitt 17-0, JMU mediocre win…long season ahead.

Not once this season has the team looked ready for a game. Tighten up or his seats getting warm by the end of the season.

The play calling on Saturday was eye-opening, to say the least, but the fans have also been quick to blame the offensive line and Moss. The Cardinals' offensive line has been awful, to say the least. This unit can't make any holes for Isaac Brown, and they can't block for Moss.
With Brohm as the head coach, he is likely to receive a lot of blame, but it will be interesting to see how the fans react as the heart of the Cardinals' schedule approaches.
