The Louisville Cardinals class of 2026 continues to rise. The Cardinals have landed 13 commits, three of them four-stars and nine of them three-stars, making Louisville the 14th-best recruiting class in the nation, according to 247Sports.
Jeff Brohm continues to elevate this program. USA Today recently ranked the Cardinals' head coach as the second-best coach in the ACC. Louisville has won nine games for two straight seasons, and now the Cardinals are elevating not only their on-field production but also their off-field production.
Brohm's class of 2026 is elite, and it got even better without landing a new commitment. The Cardinals learned back in January that the 3-star quarterback Briggs Cherry verbally committed to the Cards. Well, the future Cardinal recently showcased his skills at the Elite 11 Finals, and he saw his rankings skyrocket after his impressive performance.
Louisville football 2026 commit rankings skyrocket after Camp Domination
The coaching staff voted Cherry one of the Ohio Regional's top performers. Cherry showcased his skills at an elite level, as the 6-foot-4 quarterback out of Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tenn., saw a dramatic increase in his rankings after performing in the prestigious event.
The Elite 11 Finals have seen some of the best quarterbacks in the NFL compete since it started in 1999, as Tim Tebow, Vince Young, Trevor Lawrence, C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young, and Super Bowl champion Matthew Stafford are all alumni of this event.
Entering the event, Rivals had Cherry unranked in their top 250 for the class of 2026, and was the 24th-best quarterback and the 12th-best player out of the state of Tennessee in his respective class. Following the event, the former 3-star is now officially a 4-star prospect according to Rivals and skyrocketed up to being ranked No. 128 in the nation, the fifth-best player in his state, and the 13th-best quarterback in the class of 2026.
