Louisville football is going toe to toe for an elite cornerback in the class of 2026, as both Louisville, and Kentucky, just both recently found out they will get an official visit from the unanimous 4-star prospect.
Louisville football has been all over the recruiting news, as Cardinals have been picking up many visits from 4-star prospects, including linebacker, Karsten Busch. The 6-foot-3, 225 pound linebacker will make his official visit to Jeff Brohm and Louisville Cardinals on May 30.
Well, Brohm and his staff found out later in the summer, a key 4-star prospect out of Fort Pierce, Fla., will make his first official visit with Louisville, and Cardinals have to impress the corner as their in-state rival, Kentucky Wildcats, are going after the same recruit.
Louisville football and Kentucky going toe to toe with elite 4-star CB
Louisville found out they are getting an official visit from another 4-star prospect, Jordan Crutchfield.
Crutchfield is from Fort Pierce Westwood High School out of Fort Pierce, Fla., as the unanimous 4-star recruit announced his official visit to Jeff Brohm and Louisville on X. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound cornerback would be a tremendous pickup for Brohm, as the secondary is one of Cardinals glaring holes time and time again.
He is ranked as high as No. 320 nationally according to ONn3, and a top 20 ATH position player in the class of 2026. Cardinals have one of the best chances to land Crutchfield, as On3 gives Louisville football an impressive 33.1% chance to land this highly-recruited corner.

The two in-state rivals seem to be all in on Crutchfield, as Kentucky is predicted to land the 4-star corner, as On3 gives the Wildcats a 37.8% chance to land Crutchfield. The cornerback out of Florida will stop by Kentucky first as he is set to make his visit with the Wildcats on June 6.
Jeff Brohm and his Cardinals seem to be in great position to land Crutchfield, but it seems to be another in-state rival recruit stage is set as the Wildcats are going after the same recruit. It is still early in the recruiting stage, and On3 give Kentucky only a 4% better chance to land the 4-star recruit, so Cardinals fans don't count him out just yet.
Cardinals are currently ranked 41st in the nation for their six commits in the class of 2026. Stay updated with all Louisville football recruiting news and updates, here.
