Louisville football's 2025 season is quickly approaching as the Cardinals' countdown to their opening game against Eastern Kentucky has officially started. The Cardinals will kick off in 53 days from now from L&N Stadium against Eastern Kentucky at 5 p.m. local time.
The Cardinals have been getting a lot of traction this offseason, thanks to their big addition from the transfer portal, Miller Moss. The Cardinals' new quarterback is expected to take a big step under Jeff Brohm and emerge as Brohm's newest star.
FanDuel released their odds for the 2025 season, and the Louisville Cardinals are being blatantly disrespected with the odds but are sitting exactly where they should be in the rankings.

Louisville football dealt major disrespect with ACC Championship odds for 2025
FanDuel giving Louisville a +800 odds to win the ACC is disrespectful to Brohm's Cardinals, especially after the Cardinals upset the Clemson Tigers on the road last year. Louisville has a manageable schedule and is the clear dark horse to win the ACC behind Clemson and Miami.
The Tigers are given the best odds to win the ACC with +110 odds, followed by Miami with +380 odds, and then Louisville's +800 odds come in third. The Cardinals will play Miami and SMU on the road this season, but their big game against Clemson will be at home.
The Cardinals should be able to enter their matchup with Miami on Oct. 17 undefeated, and it is clear that the blockbuster showdown from Hard Rock Stadium is the Cardinals' season-defining game. ESPN recently released that the Cardinals' matchup with Miami and Clemson are two of the five biggest ACC matchups in the 2025 season.
Louisville has the skills to contend for the ACC Title, and while having the third-best odds makes sense, having +800 odds is a bit absurd. The Cardinals have a path to win the ACC this upcoming season with their elite offensive attack.
Louisville lost three conference games last year by seven points or less, including their shootout with Miami. Brohm is entering his third season with Louisville, and this is usually the big year for coaches.
The Cardinals will look to make history and prove these Vegas oddsmakers wrong, securing the program's first-ever ACC Title.
