Louisville football gets huge recruiting news after its regular season concludes, as the Cardinals are one of six finalists for one of their top targets in the 2027 recruiting class. Vince Marrow and Jeff Brohm continue to be a great duo, as 4-star wide receiver Cam Wade cut his list to just six schools, and the Cards are one of them.

Wade is a consensus top-250 recruit in the 2027 recruiting class and has earned offers from big-time programs like Penn State, Ole Miss, Indiana, and Florida State. However, over the weekend, the elite Kentucky native cut his list to include the Cardinals, setting up a heated recruiting battle with LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, and North Carolina.

The Cardinals dominated the 2026 recruiting class from Kentucky, landing six of the top 11 recruits and five of the top eight. Now, they are trying to do something similar with the 2027 recruiting class and are off to a hot start by landing in Wade's final six.

Wade ranks as high as No. 167 in the nation, the No. 27 wide receiver, and No. 3 recruit out of Kentucky. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound receiver took an unofficial visit to Louisville earlier this year when he was in attendance for the Cardinals' Week 1 showdown with Eastern Kentucky.

The 4-star receiver was an elite two-way player this season for Paducah Tilghman High School, earning 53 receptions for 821 receiving yards and 14 receiving touchdowns. He also played on defense, logging 15 tackles, three tackles for a loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and two interceptions he returned for a touchdown. Wade is an elite playmaker who can take over the game in many ways. He was also a punt returner, returning two punts for a touchdown.

Louisville is going up against some big-time programs like Tennessee and LSU, but Marrow and Brohm have shown they can dominate the state of Kentucky, and hopefully that carries over to the 2027 recruiting class, and the Cards can land Wade over these SEC giants.
