Louisville football's 2025 season is back and better than ever. The Cardinals suffered a crushing loss to Virginia a couple of weeks ago, and the fans had a ton of questions surrounding Miller Moss and this offensive line, but the one thing this fanbase will never question is Jeff Brohm and his ability to win the big-time games.

The Cardinals had a much-needed bye week before their massive clash with the No. 2 Miami Hurricanes at the time, and Brohm does what he does best as Louisville completely stunned the nation with a 24-21 victory over Miami. Now, after Louisville defeated Miami, their ACC Title and College Football Playoff chances skyrocketed and reached an all-time high, and that all became crystal clear after this week's AP Polls were released.

Louisville football enters the ACC Title race

Louisville comes in ranked No. 19 in the AP Polls, making it obvious this team has a legitimate chance at making a run towards the postseason. The Cardinals' huge win over Miami made the ACC wide open and proved that this conference is much deeper than a lot of college football fans realize.

The Cardinals are now in that top tier of the ACC as they compete for the Title with Miami, Virginia, and Georgia Tech. The Cardinals are the fourth-highest-ranked ACC team at No. 19, with Miami now No. 9 after the loss, and Georgia Tech the highest-ranked ACC team at No. 7. Also ranked from the ACC is Virginia at No. 16.

ESPN Analytics favors Brohm and this Cardinals team in every game except one, making their showdown with SMU the biggest game on their schedule. Louisville will take on Boston College this upcoming weekend, and then Virginia Tech and Cal in the two weeks following. The Cards are heavy favorites in all three of those games, and heavy favorites to end the season against Kentucky. ESPN predicts two close games for Louisville as the Cards have a 60 percent chance to beat Clemson, and a 40 percent chance to beat SMU.

Louisville's jumping up in the AP Poll has just made it clear that the Cardinals have a legitimate chance at making a run towards the CFP and the ACC Championship Game. Louisville currently has the fourth-best odds to win the conference and the third-highest odds in the conference to make it to the College Football Playoffs.

The AP Poll sets Louisville up for a CFP run, but now the Cards need some help from the conference and have someone upset the Yellow Jackets and the Cavaliers. Louisville will have to win out, which is no easy task, but with the momentum all on the Cardinals' side, Louisville fans believe this team can make a push for the postseason.
