Louisville football had another crucial recruiting weekend the past few days, as Jeff Brohm and his staff hosted over four recruits on campus. Louisville has its eyes set on the game-changing 4-star edge rusher Asharri Charles.
The 4-star No. 147 in the nation, No. 15 as an edge rusher, and No. 17 out of Florida. The Cardinals' visit marks just the sixth school he has made an official visit to so far, earning them the fourth-best odds to land his commitment. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound edge rusher received his offer from Louisville in May 2024 and has emerged as a massive target, as he has earned 37 offers already.
While the Cardinals still await his decision, they have already received excellent news from someone who visited Louisville this weekend. Kris Brunson announced on Sunday that he committed to the Louisville Cardinals, making him the 18th commit in the 2026 cycle.

Brunson is one of Brohm's hidden gems as the 3-star recruit is committing from Georgia, one of the best high school football states. The Georgia native was ranked as a 3-star recruit, and while he committed, he ranked No. 1388 in the nation and No. 114 in Georgia. His 32 offers prove he is the real deal.
The Cardinals earned his commitment over big-time schools like Virginia Tech, Mississippi State, and Wake Forest, among others. Other notable programs that expressed interest in the 3-star recruit included Clemson, Virginia, Tulsa, Memphis, and many more.
The future Cardinal earned an impressive 41 tackles, including 34 solos and nine pass breakups in his junior season with Brookwood High School. Louisville's 18 commitments are ranked as high as No. 24 according to 247Sports rankings and are also ranked No. 36 by On3 Sports.
