Louisville football is expected to have another massive recruiting weekend as the Cardinals will welcome yet again another handful of elite 2026 recruits. The Cardinals are entering one of the biggest recruiting periods of the season, as summer is the best time to secure visits and commitments from future recruits.
The Cardinals' 2026 class is a consensus top-25 class in the nation, and after stealing Vince Marrow from Kentucky, this program has its sights set on elevating the recruiting even further. Marrow was an elite recruiter for Kentucky, making him and Brohm a perfect pairing.
Louisville's visits will be highlighted by one of their top targets in the 2026 cycle, as top-200 recruit Asharri Charles is set to arrive on campus today, June 13. The consensus 4-star recruit will visit Louisville this weekend, making this a crucial visit for Louisville's future.

Louisville football receives massive update from game-changing 4-star edge rusher
Charles is ranked as high as No. 147 in the nation, No. 15 as an edge rusher, and No. 17 out of Florida. Louisville is one of six schools to earn an official visit so far, giving them the fourth-best chance of landing this unanimous 4-star recruit, per On3 Sports.
The Florida native is one of the top recruits in the nation, putting Louisville in a heated battle with some of the country's top programs. The Cardinals are expected to be in a fierce battle with their ACC rival, the Miami Hurricanes, as well as their in-state rival, the Kentucky Wildcats. After the Cardinals' visit, Charles will travel to Kentucky on June 15 for a visit and then to Miami on June 20 for another visit. He also has a visit lined up with Florida State and has already visited Florida.
He has received over 37 offers from other top programs, including Penn State, Colorado, Texas A&M, LSU, and more. Louisville made their offer back in May 2024, as it was just his fifth registered offer, per Rivals.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pound edge rusher finished his junior season with an astounding 107 tackles, including 15.5 tackles for a loss, 20 quarterback hits, 13.5 sacks, six pass breakups, and two forced fumbles. His sophomore season was just as impressive, earning 98 tackles, 15.5 tackles for a loss, 13 quarterback hits, and 11.0 sacks.
Louisville has a massive opportunity this weekend to gain some ground on Miami and Kentucky for Charles, and hopefully, after Marrow comes to Brohm and Louisville, the Cardinals can trend in the right direction for this game-changing 4-star edge rusher.
