Louisville football does it again. The Cardinals have been stealing Kentucky players left and right this offseason, and with the Cardinals needing to add wide receivers, Vince Marrow and Jeff Brohm just added a true freshman and their fourth Kentucky transfer in Montavin Quisenberry.

Louisville lost six of its top seven wide receivers from the 2025 season, making this position the No. 1 area of need in the Transfer Portal right now. With Louisville loading up on offensive linemen the past couple of days, adding 4-star Marquise Davis to play with Isaac and Keyjuan Brown in the running back room, along with adding 4-star Brodey Foley from the portal, it was only a matter of time before the wide receivers began to commit to Louisville.

Quisenberry is hopefully the first domino to fall Louisville’s way, and now the Cardinals fans will see many more wide receivers follow the Kentucky transfer to Louisville.

Louisville football lands its first WR from Transfer Portal

Louisville lands its 14th commitment of the Transfer Portal, and four of them come from the Kentucky Wildcats. The Cards' first commitment this offseason was defensive back DJ Waller, and on Tuesday, Louisville added two defensive linemen, Jacob and Jerod Smith Jr. Now, they add Quisenberry as well, and he is the first WR to commit to Louisville this offseason.

The Cards have been in dire need of their first WR commitment, and Quisenberry will now join Antonio Meeks, who logged 17 catches for 189 yards and one touchdown last season. As for Quisenberry, he is transferring to Louisville after earning just one catch for four yards in his true freshman season.

Out of high school, he was ranked as high as No. 689 in the 2025 recruiting class and the No. 104 wide receiver in the class. Ranking as the No. 9 recruit from Kentucky, he was a former Louisville target while also earning offers from Ole Miss, Michigan, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and others.
