Louisville football fans can’t wait for the 2026 season to come as the Cardinals have a massive showdown with Ole Miss in Tennessee. However, the talk of the town right now with this football program is the work Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow are putting in with this 2027 recruiting class.
The Cardinals have already landed 7 commitments, including 4 4-stars, which is more than the previous recruiting class. And while the class continues to turn heads and raise eyebrows, they are showing no sign of slowing down anytime soon, as Louisville is trending with multiple 4-star recruits.
One in-state 4-star fan keeping a close eye on is Jordan Haskins, and the elite defensive back just recently gave a recruiting update as he announced his commitment date.

Louisville recently learned they made Haskins final six as they are in a recruiting battle with Virginia Tech, Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, and Kentucky. Haskins announced on his social media that his commitment announcement is just two weeks away, with his decision set for Friday, March 6.

As of right now, Louisville is the dominant favorite after On3 Sports/Rivals Vice President and National College Football Recruiting and Transfer Portal analyst Steve Wiltfong logged an expert prediction in favor of the Louisville Cardinals. Now, On3 Sports gives Louisville a 96 percent chance of earning his commitment after Wiltfong’s prediction, with Missouri being the next closest team at 1.9 percent.
Haskins is an elite 4-star defensive back who ranks No. 31 among cornerbacks and No. 30 among safeties. He is ranked in the top 300, with 247Sports ranking him as high as No. 293 in the 2027 recruiting class, and he is ranked as high as No. 5 in the state of Kentucky.
March 6 is a crucial day for Louisville, as if they do end up landing Haskins, he would be paired with Louisville native and 4-star recruit Allen Evans. The two 4-stars would immediatley turn heads and have these fans buzzing with excitement, as Evans ranks as high as No. 39 in the recruiting class.
Haskins would be a massive addition to this already loaded class early on, as Brohm and Marrow have made it clear their goal is to dominate the state of Kentucky. Louisville has already earned seven total commitments, and two are from Kentucky. The class has 4 4-stars already and ranks as high as No. 5 in the 247Sports 2027 recruiting team rankings.
