Louisville football just landed one of its biggest commitments in the 2026 class as 4-star phenom Jarvis Strickland committed to the Cards last night. Strickland initially committed to in-state rival the Kentucky Wildcats, but after Louisville stole Vince Marrow from Mark Stoops, they quickly followed suit by also stealing Strickland.

Strickland is ranked as high as the No. 206 recruit in the nation, and is a beast on the offensive line as he ranks No. 16 as an offensive lineman. Well, now that Louisville is on a recruiting surge, the Cardinals' new No. 1 target is set, and he will be announcing his commitment on Monday, July 7.

4-star phenom Jayden McGregory announced on X that his commitment date and time are set as he will announce his commitment at 6:30 pm local time on Monday.

The Cardinals earned news that they made their top three back in May, and since then, they have earned their first official visit on June 20. Louisville is in a heated recruiting battle with Missouri and Minnesota, as both programs have also earned official visits since he narrowed down his list.

The 4-star phenom earned over 18 offers from big-time schools like Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Tennessee, Nebraska, and others but ended up deciding on either the Cardinals, Gophers or Tigers.

Many Louisville fans believe this will be Brohm and Marrow's next big commitment, and it would be a great addition to their already impressive 19 commitments. McGregory is an elite two-way player, as he received 19 catches for 173 yards and a touchdown last season, while also adding 20 tackles, one tackle for a loss, 13 pass breakups, and three interceptions on the defensive side.

The 6-foot-2 185, 185-pound safety is ranked as high as a 4-star prospect, No. 400 in the nation, No. 3 out of Iowa, and the 26th-best two-way player in the ATH position.

The Cardinals have earned 19 commitments, including five 4-star recruits after Strickland. They now hope that McGregory will be their 20th commitment and their sixth 4-star recruit, thereby boosting their 2026 class.
