Louisville football had a massive recruiting week, as the Cardinals landed a trio of 2026 recruits.
Louisville landed just six recruits in the class of 2026 entering this past week, and in just this week, UofL secured three commitments and a hint at a fourth. Jeff Brohm and company are currently ranked No. 35 in the nation for their eight commitments in the class of 2026.
So, let's take a deep dive into the Cardinal's three commitments from this week and give a brief report on what Louisville football is getting.
Louisville football recruiting roundup: Jeff Brohm lands multiple commitments
3-star linebacker: Karsten Busch
The first recruit to commit to Louisville was three-star linebacker out of Louisville, Karsten Busch.
The elite in-state linebacker is ranked as high as No. 467 in the nation and the No. 35 linebacker in his class. He is a consensus top-three recruit in the state of Kentucky. Busch attends St. Xavier High School, which is just miles down the road from Louisville's campus.
The 6-foot-2, 221-pound linebacker was seen on campus seven times before verbally committing to Jeff Brohm and his staff. In his junior season at St. Xaviers, he tallied 59 tackles, 12 for a loss, and seven sacks.
4-star corneback: Jaydin Broadnax
The next recruit to verbally commit to Jeff Brohm and the Louisville Cardinals was 4-star safety Jaydin Broadnax.
Broadnax is the highest-rated UofL commitment since 2023 and lifted Lousiville's class of 2026 rankings from 41st in the nation to No. 35. The safety from Boca Raton, Fla., and is ranked as high as No. 199 in the country, No. 20 in his position, and No. 32 in Florida, per ESPN. 3-star offensive linemanL Joel Ervin
Louisville football landed a massive recruit over ACC rival Miami Hurricanes. UofL secured 3-star offensive lineman Joel Ervin on Saturday night.
Ervin, from Fort Myers, Fla., was projected to go to Miami or Florida but chose Jeff Brohm and the Cardinals after his recent visit in early March. The Cardinals improved its offensive line with Ervin, as the 6-foot-6, 280-pound lineman has the perfect build to become one of Jeff Brohm's best linemen in the upcoming years.
Ervin received offers from programs like Georgia, Florida State, USC, Auburn, Arkansas, and many others. The Cardinals got a good one in Joel Ervin, and Louisville will benefit from the trend of players committing to Jeff Brohm this week.
4-star running back: Kaydin Jones
Louisville football received intriguing news on X from 4-star running back Kaydin Jones.
After Busch committed to Louisville, Jones tweeted a smirk-face emoji and tagged Broadnax on the post. The following day, Broadnax committed to the Cardinals, and now it only seems fitting that Jones is next.
