Louisville football lands yet another 4-star cornerback and the Cardinals spring recruiting is starting to heat up real quick.

Earlier this week, the Cardinals landed multiple 4-star visits announcements, including another 4-star cornerback,Jordan Crutchfield. Cardinals also found out they will get a visit from Karsten Busch, another 4-star defensive player.

Jeff Brohm and his staff is currently working overtime, but this 4-star cornerback out of Brandon, Miss. has maybe one of the highest ceilings as far as potential, and if Cardinals can swing him to Louisville, that would be monumental.

Louisville football found out they will receive an unofficial visit from 4-star cornerback, Preston Ashley on April 2, per Sam Spiegelman.

Ashley is a unanimous 4-star recruit, as he is ranked as high as No. 207 in the class of 2026 by On3, and is a consensus top 20 CB in his class. He is a unanimous top 10 overall prospect out of the state of Mississippi, and is labeled as one of the best offseason risers in the nation according to The Rivals, Sam Spiegelman.

""Ashley was outstanding during a live evaluation earlier this offseason. The versatile defensive back shined in coverage outside the numbers, in the middle of the field and defending the deep ball with ease. Ashley is sticky in coverage and breaks on the ball with fantastic anticipation.

The Ole Miss legacy clocked a 4.55 40 at UA Next in Atlanta along with a 4.34-second short shuttle with a nearly 34-inch vertical. He's a major stock-riser at a premium position.""

In order for Louisville to get a big star commitment, the Cardinals would need to go into battle and win these 4-star prospect over some blue-blood programs. The 6-foot-0, 172-pound cornerback will also visit Florida, Florida State, USC, and Auburn this spring.

It is key that Jeff Brohm lands an official visit from this highly-recruited prospect, and it is clear that these spring visits are a great first step to an official visit and then to become one of Preston Ashley's final school of choice.

Cardinals are currently ranked 41st in the nation for their six commits in the class of 2026. Stay updated with all Louisville football recruiting news and updates, here.
