A few weeks ago, Louisville football stole its in-state rival's big-time recruiter, Vince Marrow. The former Wildcat is recognized as one of the nation's top recruiters, having elevated Kentucky football to its best state in a long time.

Marrow secured a top-40 recruiting class in all 12 seasons with Kentucky and even had one class ranked as high as No. 12 nationally. Now that Jeff Brohm and Louisville have joined forces, the Cardinals are targeting some of his former top commitments from Kentucky.

Recently, the Wildcats' No. 1 commitment decommitted from Kentucky and became available again, and by no surprise, the Cardinals immediately became the favorite to land the 4-star offensive linemen, Jarvis Strickland.

The 4-star offensive linemen were Marrow's first commitment in the 2026 cycle for Kentucky, but after Marrow's announcement, many predicted that Strickland would likely follow Marrow to the Cardinals.

Ten days after Marrow's announcement, Strickland decommitted, and now, two weeks after that, Louisville found out they are about to earn one of their biggest commitment in the 2026 cycle, as Steve Wiltfong logged his official prediction and has the Cards securing a commitment from Strickland.

This would be a massive coup for Louisville, as Strickland is ranked as high as No. 206 in the nation, No. 16 for the offensive tackle position, and the No. 1 player from Kentucky. The elite 4-star tackle earned over 27 offers during his time at Paducah Tilghman High School, as he has displayed quickness, strength, and NFL potential at 6-foot-6, 300 pounds.

Marrow is working his magic early, and the Cardinals' nation is loving it. Louisville is one step closer to landing its No. 1 target at the moment, as if the Cardinals earn his commitment, they would have secured four of the top five commitments from the state of Kentucky.
