Louisville basketball is making moves for future superstars, as the Cardinals are already eyeing recruits for 2027. Pat Kelsey continues to prove why he is one of the top recruiters in the nation and one of the best coaches as he locked in an unofficial visit from a massive 5-star recruit.

Louisville has a crucial preseason matchup with the Kansas Jayhawks on October 24, and the Cardinals are clearly utilizing that game as a massive recruiting opportunity. Louisville has already earned multiple visits for the preseason showdown, and the newest confirmed recruit, 2027 5-star Isaiah Hill, will visit Louisville on October 24, according to Sam Kayser.

Louisville trending with 5-star C after logging a visit

Hill is a consensus 5-star recruit and is ranked as high as No. 13 in the nation. He is ranked as high as the No. 2 center in the 2027 class according to ESPN and On 3 Sports. The consensus No. 1-ranked center in the 2027 class is Obinna Ekezie, who is ranked as a top-five prospect.

The Cardinals had not yet made an offer to Hill, but only 11 teams have made an offer so far, with the most recent being Illinois. The Cardinals are one of three teams to earn an unofficial visit from this report, as they will also visit Kentucky and Notre Dame this fall.

The Indianapolis native currently attends Pike High School, where he averaged 10.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks per game in his sophomore season. The 6-foot-10, 190-pound center is lengthy with elite athleticism, poised to be a nightmare for opponents on both sides of the floor.

The Cardinals are one of the top teams actively recruiting Hill, making it seem like Louisville is in the mix for the 5-star. Hill has also stated that Purdue and Indiana are among the top programs that maintain a consistent relationship. So, it appears Louisville is in a recruiting battle with a couple of in-state schools for the Indiana native, but Kelsey has pulled some magic tricks before, and recruiting a junior this early is a good way to grow a relationship with a rising 5-star.

Louisville has extended 12 offers to the 2027 class so far, but after Hill's unofficial visit, it wouldn't be shocking if he is the No. 13 recruit in this cycle to earn an offer.
