Louisville football fans are loving every second of the Transfer Portal updates right now as the Cardinals are in the mix for two of the best players currently in the portal. It was reported yesterday that Louisville contacted transfer quarterbacks Dylan Raiola and DJ Lagway, immediately giving this fanbase some hope. The Cardinals fans have been dreaming of landing a player like Raiola or Lagway, and now it is being reported that Brohm is trying to make that happen.
The two transfers are former consensus 5-star recruits, and while they have shown some turnover concerns in their two seasons, it is hard to imagine Brohm can’t get them to play up to their hype. Adding a player like Raiola or Lagway has a massive positive effect on a program. If Louisville can secure a commitment from a player with that skill and the hype around their name, fans could begin to dream of keeping star running back Isaac Brown.

Can Louisville keep Isaac Brown if they land a star QB?
Entering this offseason, all eyes are on star running back Isaac Brown. The Cardinals fans are concerned about losing all three running backs in Brown, Keyjuan Brown, and Duke Watson, but if Louisville can add Raiola or Lagway, could that possibly keep Isaac on the roster?
Brown has been one of the best running backs in the nation during his first two seasons when he is healthy. He has earned 256 carries and logged 1,955 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns in just 20 games. He is averaging 97.5 yards per game on the ground while getting only 12 carries a game.
He was a preseason All-American after he won ACC Rookie of the Year, ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year, and Freshman All-American honors. However, after a frustrating sophomore season, many fans are concerned the star running back might test the Transfer Portal and leave Louisville. But if the Cards can land a player like Raiola or Lagway, the hope would be that it keeps the star running back in Louisville and that the Cardinals create one of the best offenses in the ACC.
The Cards fans know a lot about the domino effect, as they saw Pat Kelsey and basketball land Adrian Wooley, and then Ryan Conwell and Isaac McKneely quickly followed. They are now hoping for a similar situation here for football. If Louisville can secure Raiola or Lagway, that would not only keep Brown a Cardinal but also help land some other stars from the Transfer Portal.
