Vince Marrow and Louisville football are going to try to work some magic in the 2028 recruiting class as the Cardinals just extended an official offer to one of the top-ranked recruits in the nation.

Marrow has done some phenomenal things for the Cardinals after flipping from Louisville's in-state rival, the Kentucky Wildcats, but if he can pull this one off, it would be the highest-rated commit in program history. Wide receiver Lorenzo McMullen recently announced on his social media that after a conversation with Marrow, Louisville extended an offer and will now be battling 14 other schools, as Louisville is his No. 15 offer.

Louisville trending with 5-star WR

Marrow and the Cardinals making an offer and going all-in on McMullen this early in his recruiting process is crucial to try to beat Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, and others once they learn about him.

The 6-foot, 170-pound 5-star receiver ranks as high as No. 12 in the nation, No. 5 receiver, and the best recruit out of Ohio. The Cardinals, as of now, are in a heavy battle with Michigan State, Kentucky, and Indiana, as the Hoosiers recently earned a visit. But, with the hype so high, the SEC and Big Ten giants will surely join the party, but Louisville is getting the head start on them, and with Marrow on their side, the Cardinals fans are confident they have a solid chance.

McMullen currently attends Taft High School, and after just his true freshman season, the upcoming sophomore is expected to have a breakout season for the Ohio high school. Marrow and the Cardinals making the early move on the 5-star is a great sign they are going to be considered at least as of right now, and now fans must keep an eye out for an unofficial or even an official visit from the elite 5-star wide receiver.
