Louisville football is on the verge of landing another standout in-state recruit as the Cardinals are trending with an elite 4-star defensive back. The Cards are off to a red-hot start with their 2027 recruiting class, and they are looking to dominate the state of Kentucky.
Vince Marrow and Jeff Brohm are going all in on a few states, but it is clear their No. 1 priority is their own state. The Cards have already landed a few stars from Kentucky, including the state's No. 1 recruit, Allen Evans. The 4-star cornerback is the sixth-highest-rated commitment in modern Louisville recruiting history, and now the Cards are looking to add another elite in-state commitment to play alongside Evans.
On3 Sports/Rivals, Steve Wiltfong, logged an expert prediction in favor of the Cardinals, as the Vice President and National College Football Recruiting and Transfer Portal analyst predicted Louisville to land 4-star Jordan Haskins.
Jeff Brohm and Louisville football trending for elite in-state 4-star
The Cardinals were already trending in the right direction, as they recently made Haskins' final six and entered an intense recruiting battle with Missouri, Illinois, Virginia Tech, Indiana, and Kentucky. However, On3 Sports has had the Cardinals as the favorite for quite some time now, as just three days ago, they were at a 44.6 percent chance of landing Haskins, but after Wiltfong's prediction, they have jumped to a dominant 96.0 percent chance of landing Haskins.

Jordan Haskins was a HIGH priority target for new Kentucky HC Will Stein but Louisville lands another big time in-state talent and build on top of their already top 10 HS recruiting class https://t.co/l3Y7HFfscD
Haskins is an elite 4-star defensive back who ranks No. 290 overal, No. 31 among cornerbacks, No. 30 among safeties, and No. 5 among Kentucky 2027 recruits. The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder had a dominant sophomore season, logging 80 tackles and 4 interceptions, and is now trending to play alongside Evans in the Cardinals' secondary.
Evans ranks as high as No. 39 in the 2027 recruiting class, and the idea of seeing Evans and Hasking playing alongside each other has Louisville fans absolutley fired up. Brohm and Marrow continue to have this 2027 recruiting class trending up and competiting with college football's best.
As of right now, Louisville has seven commitments, and if Haskins commits, he would be their eighth. Louisville's commitments have the Cardinals' 2027 recruiting class ranked No. 11 in the nation, with four 4-star commitments already and two in-state commitments. If Haskins commits, he would be Louisville's fifth 4-star commitment already and their third in-state commitment.
