Louisville basketball’s season is fast approaching, with the Cardinals' preseason game against Kansas just a week away. The college basketball season is almost here, and Cardinals fans can’t wait, as Pat Kelsey has built one of the nation's best teams.
Louisville’s Karter Knox just sent a bold message to Kentucky ahead of rivalry showdown
Louisville enters the season with extremely high expectations, as Kelsey added multiple 5-stars, multiple former 5-stars, and made major adjustments. One adjustment was attacking the frontcourt and adding 5-star transfer Flory Bidunga. As many Cards fans know, Bidunga was one of the best transfers in the portal and is expected to make an immediate impact and be a huge addition for Louisville this upcoming season.
With college basketball preseason starting up shortly, the ACC released its All-ACC members, and unsurprisingly, the Cardinals' 5-star transfer got the preseason All-ACC recognition he deserves.
Flory Bidunga earns Preseason All-ACC honors
Bidunga enters the season with high expectations, as fans hope the Kansas transfer can lead Louisville to its first Final Four since 2013. For the Cardinals to go on a run and reach the Final Four, UofL needs Bidunga to take that next leap, averaging 15+ points while remaining a dominant defender and maintaining last year's level of consistency.
Well, the ACC is expecting Bidunga to come to Louisville and be that true star, as Bidunga secured a spot on the All-ACC Preseason First Team.

Bidunga comes to Louisville after earning All-Big 12 First Team honors, averaging 13.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game while shooting 64 percent from the field. He secured 90 blocks for the season, the nation's top-five total, earning him the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year award.
Now, he comes to Louisville, and Cardinals fans hope he remains that dominant defender and takes a leap on offense. Everyone knows how athletic and strong a defender Bidunga is, but if Louisville wants to be a top-10 team in the nation, its offense will need to spread the floor, and Bidunga developing his offensive game would do just that.
Cardinals fans saw a glimpse of Bidunga expanding his bag earlier this week when a video surfaced of him hitting a crossover and attacking the rim for a dunk. That is exactly what the Cardinals need the preseason All-ACC center to do, and now they hope that is only a preview of what is to come this year.
There is so much to be excited about for Louisville this season, but the Cardinals can’t wait to see a physical center like Bidunga. Louisville has needed someone like Bidunga for a long time, and now, with just a week to go, his preseason All-ACC First-Team selection only adds to the excitement around his debut next Wednesday.
