Louisville basketball was one of the teams in attendance this weekend at the Adidas 3SSB Palmetto Road Championship, and shortly after the event concluded, it was reported by Trent Markwith that the Cardinals extended an offer to 4-star shooting guard Colben Landrew.
Head coach Pat Kelsey and assistant coach Thomas Carr were seen watching Landrew all weekend long, and it comes as no surprise that after the consensus 4-star displayed his full potential this past weekend, Louisville now made their offer.
The 6-foot-5, 200-pound 4-star is ranked as high as No. 62 in the 2026 cycle, with On3 Sports ranking him as the fourth-best Georgia native and the No. 20 shooting guard. 247Sports ranks him as a small forward, ranking him the No. 24 small forward in the class.
Landrew represented Game Elite this weekend at the Adidas 3SSB Palmetto Road Championship, where he averaged an impressive stat line of 16.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. However, being from Georgia, Louisville appears to be in a heated recruiting battle with SEC giants, as he has already earned 24 offers from big-time schools like Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas, and Georgia, among others.

Louisville basketball enters SEC-heavy race for 4-star with eyes on major statement
Landrew attended Wheeler High School in Marietta, Ga., and, like this past weekend, he showcased his ability to take over and score across 32 games. The 4-star forward averaged 18.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game, guiding Wheller High School to an impressive 29-3 record.
Louisville appears to be entering the recruiting battle a bit late, as Ole Miss, Auburn, Alabama, and Missouri all offered the elite 4-star recruit an offer back in 2024. The Cardinals might be just making their offer now, but Kelsey has proved all offseason that he can land big-time names over SEC schools, no matter where they are from, just like 5-star Adrian Wooley.
Auburn's 28.0 percent is the best chance to earn Landrew's commitment, according to On3 Sports, followed closely by Ole Miss at 24.5 percent. After the Rebels is Nate Oat, and Alabama at 15.9 percent. Other notable programs to extend offers to the 4-star recruit are Purdue, Cincinnati, Texas Tech, Xavier, Indiana, and Georgetown. The ACC teams involved in this recruiting battle are Clemson, Georgia Tech, California (Cal), and Virginia Tech.
