Jeff Brohm and Louisville football have done a good job this offseason at finding ways to keep key players from the 2025 season. The Cardinals' offseason has seen big-time additions and not many massive losses, as they convinced Isaac Brown, Antonio Watts, and AJ Green to withdraw from the Transfer Portal.
However, Louisville just suffered a huge loss, as Cardinals fans learned that one of their key returning offensive linemen entered the transfer portal. It was just reported that Jordan Church will enter the Transfer Portal, according to Pete Nakos, making him the 27th Cardinal to part ways with the program this offseason.

Louisville football's offensive line take a big hit with latest update
Church was likely to be a starter at the start of the 2026 season as the 6-foot-4, 310-pound right guard was expected to be a key returning piece. Louisville fans learned Lance Robinson was going to return, and they added key pieces in Eryx Daugherty and Cason Henry, and Church was most likely going to be in that front unit as well after his solid 2025 season.
Church played in all 13 games in the 2025 season and started in four. He had a good season, earning 514 snaps, 286 pass-blocking snaps, and allowing just 12 pressures and one sack. Before his time at Louisville, he played for Florida Atlantic for two seasons. He started in multiple games in the 2024 season and logged 739 snaps, 404 pass block snaps, and gave up 15 pressures and three sacks.
The Cardinals' offensive line is taking a big blow with Church entering the portal, as Louisville has already lost multiple starters from last season for eligibility reasons. He was lined up to be a key starter in the 2026 season, but now Brohm will look to the portal for depth and maybe even a starter.
It is also worth noting that with Daugherty and Henry, Louisville also added Delaware transfer Anwar O'Neal and Georgia Southern transfer Johnnie Brown III. Church is now ranked No. 618 overall and is ranked No. 53 among interior offensive linemen.
