Louisville football has its biggest game of the 2025 season this weekend as Jeff Brohm and his Louisville Cardinals will travel to Hard Rock Stadium and face the Miami Hurricanes. Louisville is coming off a bye week, which the team desperately needed to get healthy and regroup after a disappointing overtime loss to Virginia.

Now, the Cardinals will face the ACC frontrunner and the No. 2 team in the nation in Miami. This Hurricanes team has one of the best defenses in the country, and the offense is led by Georgia transfer and now Heisman favorite Carson Beck.

The Hurricanes have defeated three ranked teams, including Notre Dame in the season opener. Now, Louisville will look to shock the nation and pull off one of the biggest upsets of the season. The Hurricanes defeated Miami at Hard Rock Stadium two years ago and will try to do it again this Friday night.

Louisville vs. Miami Odds

As of Monday morning, Louisville opens up as a big underdog to the Miami Hurricanes. It is the first time Louisville isn't the favorite for a game, and they are a double-digit underdog, according to FanDuel. Miami is a 12.5-point favorite, and the Hurricanes' moneyline odds to win on Friday are -530, which means if someone were to bet $10 on Miami to win, they would only win $1.89 from that bet. ESPN Analytics gives Miami the dominant favorite to win this game, with an 84.9 percent chance of winning this Friday night showdown.

Louisville vs. Miami Prediction

The Cardinals have a massive challenge ahead of them, as the Hurricanes will be no easy task. Louisville isn't out of the ACC Title race just yet, but the fans are making it clear this is a must-win game to keep their chances alive. Traveling to Miami only makes this game more challenging, but Brohm has shown in the past that he can win some big games.

If the Cardinals want to win, Miller Moss must avoid costly turnovers, and this offensive line has to block for Isaac Brown. However, with Miami's elite defensive line, Louisville fans fear the worst. The Cardinals have a chance to pull off this season-saving upset, but on the road, it just makes it hard to predict Louisville.

Prediction: Miami 31 Louisville 17
