Louisville football had one of its most dominant first halves in a long time in its 51-17 victory over Eastern Kentucky. The Cardinals' starters were unstoppable and could do whatever they wanted against the Colonels.

A significant reason for that was the impressive performance of transfer quarterback Miller Moss. The Cardinals' starting quarterback did exactly what he needed to do in the first half, despite throwing two interceptions. After the Cardinals' dominant win, Jeff Brohm made sure to let the fans know he was impressed with Moss's performance and that the quarterback has a bright future with the Cardinals.

Jeff Brohm and Louisville football impressed with Miller Moss's debut

Miller Moss led the Cardinals to 41 points in the first half and a dominant 41-7 score before being pulled for the day. He finished the game throwing 17-of-25 passes for 223 yards and a beautiful touchdown pass to Duke Watson. He also showed off his ability to rush as he found the endzone with his legs.

However, if you are a fan who looks at stats, you won't be impressed with Moss's performance, as the two interceptions will tell you he is the same quarterback as last year. However, Jeff Brohm is here to assure the fans that they shouldn't worry about those interceptions, as he did an excellent job in Week 1 and made the right decisions.

"I thought he did a really good job," Brohm stated after Louisville's win. "He was composed, he was efficient, he was accurate, not until the first interception, which was a little bit of a high pass on just a simple hitch route that got batted up, that one was a missfire. The go route on the interception, the next drive was right in our hands, which got contested pretty well and got knocked up in the air, but made good decisions."

Brohm was impressed with Moss's ability to both scramble and throw, as well as the decisions he made throughout the first half. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound quarterback showed great poise in his Cardinals debut, and he developed chemistry immediately with his star receivers, Chris Bell and Caullin Lacy.

Moss was able to stand in the pocket and was not rushed, demonstrating his accuracy when playing confidently. Moss led the Cardinals to the endzone in their first five drives of the game, briefly showing the ceiling for how explosive this offense can be.

So, while Moss threw two interceptions in his debut, that is not something fans should worry about moving forward. Brohm ensured the fans aren't sounding the alarms after Week 1, and that they recognize he dominated the week, demonstrating that when he is efficient, this offense can be one of the best in the nation.
