Louisville football is 3-0, and for the third straight season, the Cardinals fans are happy but slightly worried with ACC games now here. The Cardinals have outscored their three opponents 119-48, but haven't necessarily looked the part just yet.

The one player the fans were eager to watch entering the 2025 season was USC transfer Miller Moss. The 4-star quarterback has shown flashes of brilliance in three games, but also has shown areas of improvement. Moss was able statistically to have his best game in the Cardinals uniform, but fans and Brohm still need him to improve, especially with conference games now approaching.

Jeff Brohm breaks down where Miller Moss must improve

Moss threw 23-for-32 with 316 passing yards and a rating of 154.8. This marked the sixth time in his career that he threw for 300 yards or more. However, despite his impressive 71.9 completion percentage and his 316 passing yards, there were times fans were discouraged by his performance, and it appears Brohm agrees and needs him to calm down at times and continue to improve as a quarterback.

"Miller has to play well for us to win games," Brohm stated after the game. "We’ve got to make sure we get him completions and find ways to get the ball out of his hand quickly so he doesn’t take a lot of hits. He works hard, and I think he understands our system, and we’re hopeful that he continues to improve.”

Moss has shown improvements since he threw two interceptions against Eastern Kentucky, but he still has to play better at times. While he only threw nine incompletions, some of them were ugly throws that he just completely missed, like when he whiffed on Jaleel Skinner, who should have been a touchdown.

Moss needs to understand the pressure and must pick up quicker. The USC transfer struggled with the same thing during his time with the Trojans, and he must improve in this area if Louisville wants to beat a Pitt team that loves to blitz like James Madison did in Week 2.

Moss was accurate and efficient in his Week 4 performance, but Brohm is revealing the truth that Moss has to play well if Louisville wants to go on the road and beat Pitt this weekend. He has to get the ball out of his hands quickly against the blitz, and he must be more accurate when he faces pressure.

Moss overall on Saturday got the job done and played his best game of the season. However, with Louisville traveling to Pitt this weekend, the Cardinals' starting quarterback must play better to keep their ACC Title dreams alive.
