The Louisville Cardinals have effectively taken themselves out of contention for a spot in the College Football Playoff this season, suffering their third loss of the season to the Clemson Tigers. The Cardinals have no one to blame but themselves as they committed 10 penalties throughout the game, but seven of them came at the most critical time in the fourth quarter.

Louisville had numerous opportunities to mount a comeback against a 4-5 Clemson team that has struggled a lot this season, but the Cardinals couldn't get out of their own way. It is clear everyone was frustrated in that Louisville locker room, starting with head coach Jeff Brohm, all the way to quarterback Miller Moss.

Moss was visibly frustrated when talking about all those penalties in the game and even had some words to say about the culture of the program.

Miller Moss takes a shot at Jeff Brohm and his team with penalty frustrations

Any sort of loss hurts, but to lose a game by one point when there were so many opportunities to take the lead and walk away with a win is even more frustrating. Louisville quarterback Miller Moss really let his frustration show in his post-game press conference, especially when asked about unsportsmanlike penalties and how they get fixed moving forward.

"I don't think something like that [penalties] gets fixed week to week," Moss said. "That's a cultural thing and an off-season thing that's going to need to be addressed."

It seems with that comment that Moss is calling out the culture that Brohm has built at Louisville, which is a dangerous road to take. Once a player starts calling out culture in a program, that seems to really upset the balance of the locker room.

Not only did Moss call out Brohm's culture, but he also insinuated that his teammates were not the ultimate competitors. Moss talked about how the ultimate competitors have the poise in those big moments and the focus to stay even-keeled. However, his teammates, who committed three unsportsmanlike penalties, were not able to reel it in in the big moments.

The frustration from Moss is understandable as the Cardinals just played their way out of the College Football Playoff, but he still needs to hold his composure, too. Don't throw anyone under the bus, especially your head coach and teammates.
