Louisville basketball's Chucky Hepburn showcased his skills in front of NBA scouts, coaches, GMs, and more this past weekend at the NBA G-League Elite Camp. The event took place at the Wintrust Arena from May 9 to 11 in Chicago, Illinois, and 44 players were invited to improve their NBA dreams.
The former Cardinal had one of the best seasons in the league last year, averaging 16.4 points, 5.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game. Hepburn nearly improved in every category after transferring from Wisconsin, as his shooting percentage from the field was 32.8 percent and 32.8 percent from downtown.
Hepburn appeared to showcase his skills at an elite level, as he was highlighted by the NBA G League social media, and hit the game-winning 3-pointer on Sunday. Unfortunately, Jonathan Givony reported that the former Cardinal did not get the invitation to the official NBA Draft Combine after his G League Elite Camp performance.

Hepburn was later interviewed by Givony and explained that he had a good overall experience and is excited about the future.
"I think they went well," Hepburn stated. "Being able to carry the team as a true point guard and the leader that I am, and it has been fun being able to create friendship and a bond with my teammates the past couple of days, too."
While it is sad to see Hepburn not invited to the NBA Combine, he was able to highlight his skills this weekend and put his name on these NBA scouts' radars. Hepburn was First-Team All-ACC and the ACC Defensive Player of the Year and was a key player in helping put this Cardinals program back in the NCAA Tournament.
