Louisville basketball’s 2025-26 season concludes tomorrow afternoon in a huge ACC showdown against the Miami Hurricanes. While many expected Miami to make a jump this season, few expected them to be the No. 3 seed in the ACC Tournament and to be ranked No. 22 in the nation in this final game.

Pat Kelsey gives passionate message as Louisville basketball eyes a strong finish

The Cardinals are coming off a dominant win over Syracuse without Mikel Brown Jr., and while Brown’s status remains unknown, Louisville is heading to Miami with high expectations. The Cardinals have won the last two meetings against the Hurricanes, and with Louisville unranked for the first time this season, the Cards are looking to make a statement heading into the postseason.

Miami has an impressive 23-6 record, but the Hurricanes' weakness in every loss is guarding the 3-point range, which should make Louisville fans feel confident, as the Cardinals live and die from beyond the arc. And clearly, the oddsmakers agree, as Louisville is heading to Miami as the open favorite.

Louisville opens as a 1.5 point favorite over No. 22 Miami on FanDuel

While Louisville has struggled on the road and against ranked opponents this season, the Vegas oddsmakers continue to favor the Cardinals. In FanDuel’s opening line for Saturday’s showdown, the Cardinals are a 1.5-point favorite over the Hurricanes. The over/under is set at 157.5, implying a final score around 80-78 in favor of the Louisville Cardinals.

ESPN Analytics gives the Cardinals a 62.0 percent chance of winning on the road, while KenPom gives Louisville a 53 percent chance of winning and with a projected score of 79-78. Bart Torvik also gives the Cardinals a 53 percent chance of winning and predicts a similar score of 80-79 in Louisville's favor.

The Cardinals haven’t earned a win on the road over a ranked team so far this season, but streaks are meant to be broken. Louisville is trying to clinch the No. 6 seed in the ACC Tournament, which means these two teams would likely face off in the quarterfinals if Louisville wins its matchup on Wednesday, March 11.

The Cardinals are still seed-hunting in the NCAA Tournament, and with everyone talking about their 0-8 record in Quad 1A games, the Vegas oddsmakers are telling everyone that tomorrow, Louisville has a chance to snap these streaks and end the season on a high note.
