Louisville basketball lands Sananda Fru, from Germany to help improve their 2025 class.
The 6-foot-11 and is 21 years old, and has been playing basketball in Germany with Löwen Braunschweig. Fru is 240 pounds and averaging 12 points, five rebounds, 1.3 blocks and shooting an impressive 75% from the field.
Louisville basketball is currently ranked in the top 10, No. 9, for the class of 2025, as they have one five star recruit in, Mikel Brown Jr., who has a recruiting score of 98.78, and is ranked eight overall in the class according to On3 Sports. Brown is a five-star across all recruiting platforms as he is the nation's No. 7 player in the Class of 2025 and the No. 2 point guard, according to 247Sports, and No. 11 in ESPN's 100.
Fru will join the front court with James Scott, and that duo will have one of the best paint presences in all of college basketball. Fru and Scott's ability to block will make Pat Kelsey and his Cardinals one of the best defensive teams in the nation immediately.

Pat Kelsey recruiting has been vital and he is quickly becoming one of the best coaches in the nation.
Fru played in the U20 Euro Championships in 2022 and 2023, where he averaged 8.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 2023, and 7.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 2022. He also played in the FIBA Europe Cup where he shot 69.6% from the field and averaged 15.5 points per game with 5.5 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per game.

Louisville clearly showed they are not done yet recruiting in the class of 2025 with the pick up of Fru. They are also in the "top 2" and a potential front runner for Nate Ament, a 2025 McDonald's All American and five-star recruit according to Tipton.
Nate Ament, the fourth ranked player in the class of 2025 with a recruiting score of 99.39. Ament had an official visit to Louisville back in October, and most recently cancelled his visit to Kansas State, making fans believe his decision is coming up soon.
Cardinals are also predicted to land 2026 No. 1 prospect, Tyran Stokes. On3Sports gives the Cardinals a dominant 66.8% chance to land the consensus No.1 overall prospect. Kentucky has the second highest chance according to this prediction with a 1.9% chance of landing Stokes.
Cardinals are also in contention for top 6 recruit, Jordan Smith Jr., as he comes in as a consensus 5-star prospect in 2026, and is the No.1 ranked shooting guard of the elite class.
