Louisville basketball officially set the program's record for the biggest turnaround in consecutive seasons.

Cardinals improved by 14 wins this season, and still have three home games remaining to conclude this regular season. They are shattering multiple records this season, as Pat Kelsey's Cardinals can break program's single season ACC win record, and win their first ACC title.

However, according to Pat Kelsey the focus can not change and he is keeping his eyes and making sure his team is firmly fixed on the present. Kelsey doesn't want anyone on this Louisville basketball roster or staff to reflect just yet as the job isn't finished.

So, after the Cardinals 22nd win of the season, Pat Kelsey's issued an intense challenge for Louisville basketball that will most definitely make or break their season.

Pat Kelsey stated there is no time for reflection just yet, as the season isn't even close to being over. His team can't reflect on the past, or speculate what is to come in upcoming weeks, as the Cardinals have a huge game on Saturday against Pitt. Kelsey is laser-focused on ensuring his team is fully prepared for that game, and that game only.

Louisville basketball had just eight wins total last season, and an even worse four wins the previous season. As of recent, Pat Kelsey has been asked a decent amount about his team's success, and their turnaround and what he has to say when he reflects on the Cardinals success. However, Kelsey doesn't like to look back on the season, and actually challenged all of Cardinal nation to do the same.

"There probably come a time in the offseason you can get above the trees and look back and appreciate the type of season that we've had, but now is not the time because we got three really tough games remaining at home, and the one we only care about is the one on Saturday." Kelsey stated Tuesday night."

In the midst of their historic turnaround season, Kelsey can only emphasize the importance of staying focused on the present so many times. While the team’s remarkable journey is something to be proud of, he made it clear that now is not the time for reflection. Kelsey’s approach is to prioritize the immediate task at hand and to challenge everyone to not get too caught up in the moment, and to remember there are still many games to be played.

"We really never talk about that." Pat Kelsey stated on his team historic turnaround season. We don't talk about the past. We respect our past. We honor our past, and we honor the great players and teams and championships that have come from this great institution."

"When people say the record was last year, we never ever, ever talk about it. We always just talk about us and the present, and what we are going to do in the next game." Kelsey stated.

Well, Cardinals next game is March 1, at 6:00 p.m. local time against Pitt. If Cardinals can secure that win, they will be on a seven game win streak, and won 17 of their last 18, and for cherry on top, secure Louisville basketball most ACC wins in a single season.
