The coaching carousel continues to be one of the biggest stories in College Football right now. The league has seen some elite programs have incredibly underwhelming seasons, leading to LSU, Florida, Penn State, Auburn, Oklahoma State, and others firing their head coach.
With big-time programs like those having underwhelming seasons, some lesser-known programs are overachieving, such as Louisville football and Georgia Tech. Not many college football fans would have regarded these two programs as College Football Playoff contenders outside of their fanbases, but thanks to their head coaches, they are right in the mix.
With these teams overachieving and powerhouse programs searching for coaches, fans are hearing the names of Brent Key and Jeff Brohm thrown in for just about every job opening. Brohm recently addressed the job openings, and the Cards fans didn't get the reassurance they wanted, so it was only a matter of time before Penn State fans tried to recruit him even harder.

Penn State fans make it clear they want Jeff Brohm
The Nittany Lions fired James Franklin after Penn State lost to Oregon, UCLA, and Northwestern in three straight weeks. They have been running with interim head coach Terry Smith, but the fans are pushing hard to secure Brohm.
Penn State fans continue to push heavily for Brohm, and after Brohm's comments on the job opening, it appears Penn State fans are all-in on the Cardinals head coach.

Penn State fans have a reason to want Brohm, but the question is, how realistic is it? ESPN released the top five targets for Penn State a week ago, and they included Brohm. The Cards' head coach appears to fit the role with his experience and his resume in ESPN's eyes, but again, is it realistic?
"He addresses the primary reason why Penn State fired Franklin - a lack of signature wins. Brohm has delivered those at both Purdue and now Louisville, going 4-4 against AP top-five opponents during his career. He also will bring a creative and aggressive offense to State College, and can likely get more out of the quarterback play there. Brohm, 54, also has Big Ten experience, taking Purdue to the league title game in 2022 and going 12-6 in league play during his last two years with the Boilers. He also has incredibly deep roots both with the University of Louisville and the city of Louisville. Will Brohm actually make a move? He's certainly worth a call with a 91-53 FBS record."
Brohm addressed all of these rumors, which had linked his name to job openings, and made it clear that he is focused on this season. While the Cards fans wish he had given a passionate response like Key's answer, "Slice me open and see what colors I bleed," they are confident that Josh Heird will give the coach a raise, and he will want to stay in the city of Louisville.
