Louisville basketball 2024-25 season ended against the Creighton Bluejays in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Cardinals finished the season 27-8 and shattered multiple program records.

The program has yet to win a game in the NCAA Tournament since Donovan Mitchell joined the team in 2017. The Cardinals are now shifting all their attention to the transfer portal this offseason.

Louisville's head coach, Pat Kelsey, went all out in the transfer portal last year as he brought in 12 players from the portal to rejuvenate the program. Kelsey will now look to spend nearly $10 million this offseason in the portal and elevate this program from just making the Big Dance to being National Championship contenders.

We took a deep dive and made a list of every transfer still available with which the Cardinals' coaching staff is in contact as of April 2.

SG Lamar Wilkerson Sam Houston State

2024-25 Statistics: 32 G, 20.5 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 2.1 APG, 1.1 SPG, 47.7% FG, 3.4 3PM, 44.5% 3PT

Lamar Wilkerson is a perfect fit for this Cardinals team as he is a sharpshooter transfer from Sam Houston. The Cardinals did land Adrian Wooley and Ryan Conwell, but Louisville needs shooters off the bench to help spread the floor out and allow their playmakers to play to their best ability.

Last season, Wilkerson led the C-USA in three-point shooting percentage and was second in the league in scoring. He averaged 20.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 44.5 percent from beyond the arc. He made the All-C-USA First-Team after his impressive shooting season as he made 3.4 3-pointers per game.
