Louisville football fans are going to be hearing this new song a lot this Fall
By Ryan Stano
A new college football season is almost upon us. The Louisville football team has been preparing all offseason long to prove the doubters wrong. They have some new faces in key spots, so it's going to be tough for them to make the same kind of run they did a year ago.
Watching Louisville football games will consist of fans getting mostly one network broadcasting the games to them. That's ESPN. ESPN holds the rights to the ACC broadcasts and most of Louisville's games are on some ESPN affiliate, including ACC Network. The game against Notre Dame right now is the lone outlier.
That means that fans of the Louisville Cardinals are going to be hearing a lot of Jelly Roll in the Fall. He is featured on ESPN's new college football anthem that they are rolling out this year. They seem to have a new song every year, and this year Jelly Roll is the person singing it.
You can check out the entire song below:
Personally, I'm not a massive fan of this song. I don't mind some of his music but I don't seek out to listen to Jelly Roll. It's not a song that gets me really hyped that college football is about to be played, which is the whole point of the song. Maybe that will change at some point in the year.
It's not just Louisville football fans that will be hearing a lot of this song either. SEC and Big 12 fans are going to be hearing it too. Only the Big Ten will be spared, at least until the College Football Playoff. Than everyone will be hearing this tune when those games are played.
What do you think of the song? Is it something that will get you hyped to watch the Cardinals?
